the 6th Day

Last night was pretty fun, we stayed in the city center till 2 am, then a pump ride to our tiny little seatown Gumuldur, we reached our beds at 3, confession: it was not easy to wake up this morning but we made it!

The morning hurry left its place to the energizers, Greek team was the energizer of the day, then we headed to the forest close to the our camp area which was provided by the Local Forest Authority of Gumuldur. 50 new trees were planted by our team. Twenty years later Gumuldur society will be thankful to us without a doubt! :)



After the returning participants were exhausted, we ate, swam and then headed to our conference room for the next session. This one was the only formal learning of the whole project, Erdem began with the short industrial history of the planet and then kept on a presantation with the multimedia webpage of national geographic called Human Footprint linked here:

The 5th Day

Lithuanian Team's energizers woke us up... The previous day before the street exhibition our mixed and sperated teams were lead into the city to discover downtown and find the city lifes environmental crisis. And believe it was not so hard to find out... The roads, parks, the sea were full of problems... And our participants were so journalistic, they collected good shots and prepared their very own powerpoint presentations.

In the afternoon since its the middle of the project we began to talk on the project. Our mid term evaluation method was to draw a big pizza and name every slice as one of the sessions. We wanted participants to give a point to rate the session. If its good they signed the slice close the middle of the pizza, if it s not the signed the down of the slice...


Then we talked on it, what was good what was not enough, why, how can we get better, what should we do, what we shouldnt do?

The 3rd Day: Team Building on the Beach

The day began with the intercultural learning session with Ozge (Ozzy) who ıs our facilitator of the project, then we head to the country skectches which were prepared in the preparing phase of the project in partner countries like we did in the first one. We watched the each contry's play turn by turn. they were about pollution, awareness, traffic, unequal environment conditions... We loved 'em all! 

OK (Ola kala, means everythings good in Greek) here comes the second word of the day: SİESTA! everybody went to their bed to have some nap but Guys time to wake up and move to the beach for building our team spirit for the next one week. The sun is shining above us and calling to have fun! OK We are here now, ah I'm a bit tired we walked for 0,4 km :) and reached to the coast. I want to get into the sea but Ozge is calling us to be a line. She is making us hold hands (I'm holding a handsome boy's hand YAY!) Then she is telling us the game called "human chain" so we are becoming a mess! and the aim is to get rid of this mix. Its not easy because some are flexible some are not some hands are crossed some people's faces see others backs! But we are capable of solving the problem! 

Finally we found a way to figure out the problem, HADİ OZGE! Let us swim :) ok she did we have a break in the sea.
